In today’s belated episode we catch up a bit on events in the year 2021. As the title implies, this is followed by a lengthy complaint about the MCU miniseries on Disney+ which wound up rubbing Tristan the wrong way. Mohammad mostly sits back and enjoys the rant, but still squeezes in some valuable contributions of his own.

The Election That Just Keeps On Giving
In today’s episode which I forgot to post last week, we discuss the US Election which the president somehow manages to lose again every single day. Hopefully this will be the last time we ever have to discuss him (at least for the next four years until he runs again).
Protests in the Time of Coronavirus
We once again come to you via Zoom as we discuss an issue that has somehow managed to drown out a global pandemic. Black Lives Matter and anti-police protests have swept America and indeed the globe and we go over our own low opinions of law enforcement that have somehow gone even lower. In addition we look into how social media is pressuring people into either speaking up or going silent. What fun times we live in.
Note: The company selling you online profiles (specifically your photos which are plugged into their facial recognition software) to police is called Clearview AI.
A Very Special At Home Episode
Today’s episode was recorded without an intro from our respective homes over Zoom! How exciting! Much time is spent talking about the thing everyone is always talking about nowadays; why communism failed. We also discuss this ongoing global pandemic a bit and how it has (or hasn’t) affected our lives.
Democoropocalypse
Today we talk about the thing everyone is talking about: the impending end of the world courtesy of Covid-19. We also delve into some lighter fare with recent developments in the Democratic Primary. Then things take a turn for the worse when we bring up the Cats movie. You don’t want to miss it!
Year/Decade in Review
At the end of a wild year/decade full of ups and downs, Tristan and Mohammad take some time to look back at the events, politics, technology, and culture that shaped it. We also delve into the personal and look forward (with some apprehension) to the decade ahead.
VIFF 2019
After taking his sweet time working out some technical problems, Tristan is finally ready to post en episode recorded way back in October. This is in addition to another episode from November likely to be published next week. But wait there’s more! Early in the new year we’ll likely have a third episode ready to go where we review more recent events, the year of 2019, and the 10’s as a whole! Truly the greatest of Christmas presents! For now enjoy our review of a documentary about blockchain paired with a very outdated discussion about impeachment.
It Is What It Is
In today’s episode we being on the lighter side with the disappointing conclusion to Game of Thrones before delving back in to Brexit and US politics (with a brief aside for our home and native land). In the end we reach some pretty disappointing conclusions of our own.
Trudeau, Trump, & Theresa
In today’s episode we discuss a trio of crazy political developments both at home and abroad. What is the English-speaking world coming to? We all make some time for the equally baffling case of Jussie Smollett and some random odds-and-ends to close out.
A Singular Shutdown
In this episode we start things off with a heady discussion on the upcoming singularity. After that we get real low to the ground as we delve into the Trump Shutdown which ended as I was writing this. Finally, we end by looking into the near-future and the Democratic Primary which is just now getting underway.
Midterm Madness
For the first time in our relatively short lives people actually care about the US midterm elections. in today’s episode we discuss the results, dive into shake-ups in the Justice Department, touch on Canada’s weed legalization, catch up with some friends at Fox, and finally end with a fun personal anecdote.
VIFF Shorts 2018
Its October which means its time for us to go out and watch another VIFF movie. This time its not just one film, but a whole bunch as we saw a short program! On the short ride home we discuss the shorts with little to no digression into politics. Mohammad also rambles for a while about some meaningless bullshit in the middle.
